Muswellbrook Doctors is your locally trusted medical practice located inside Muswellbrook Fair on Rutherford Road. Our qualified team of GPs offers high-quality healthcare tailored to families, working professionals, and seniors in the Upper Hunter community.
We operate as a mixed‑billing clinic, with bulk billing available for eligible patients, including children under 16, pensioners, concession card holders, and follow‑up consultations. Appointments can be booked online or by phone.
Our care extends beyond general consultations — we provide minor procedures, chronic disease management, travel medicine, women’s & men’s health, and onsite pathology services. In addition, our virtual care via the Zali Health App ensures access when you can’t visit in person.

Dr E. Elbahrawy with more than 12 years of experience in Medicine, 5 years of GP practice.
Dr Tarek is a UK-qualified General Practitioner with more than 12 years of expertise in medicine.
Dr Mohammed Abdulfattah is an Australian – Trained General Practitioner and a member of the RACGP.
Dr Ahmed Elmhrouky has 14 years of experience in General Medicine and 5 years of GP practice.

Introducing Mixed Billing in our Practice
Access to healthcare for the community we serve is important to us. The Muswellbrook Doctors unwavering commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of healthcare services we deliver is our top priority. To protect the sustainability of our practice and ensure the standard of the services we provide; The Muswellbrook Doctors will now become a MixedBilling practice. This will allow us to maintain the highest quality of care we provide while still being able to address our patients with substantial needs.
Starting the 5th of September 2022, we will be introducing the “Mixed-Billing” system. Most consultations are time-based and will incur private fees for patients who are not eligible under the bulk-billing criteria. Fees are required to be paid at the time of consultation by cash, credit card or EFTPOS.
NO accounts will be given.
We are still able to bulk bill eligible patient groups for most of the consultation types:
- Children under 16 years of age
- Vaccinations – Influenza and Childhood Vaccination
- Health Care Card and Pension Card holders and OVA Card holders
- Appointments made for follow-up of medical investigation results
Muswellbrook Docotors is a bulk billing practice.

BULK BILLING IS AVAILABLE to eligible patient groups for most of the consultation types:
- New patient form
- A valid Medicare cards
- Valid OSHC/OVC membership details
- Health Care Card holders
- Pensioner Concession Card holders

Appointment Information
Help us eliminate waiting times by arriving at least five minutes before your appointment time. You can save time by completing an online patient registration form here.
Please bring the following to your first appointment:
- a current, valid Medicare card (if you have one)
- WorkCover patients
You will need to advise your employer of the appointment and bring your employer’s contact details to arrange for payment. - Interpreter
If you require a translator or other assistance with communication, please notify reception when you make an appointment. A phone interpreter may be available but will need to be arranged prior to your appointment.

For the continuing management of our patient’s health, we utilise a systematic reminder system to provide health promotion, preventative care and early detection of disease.
